Event Type:
Faculty/Administrator Workshop
Event description:

A one-day set of conversations for network faculty and program administrators on the topic of “Expanding Enrollments in REEES.”

Format: Conversations began at 9AM and concluded by 5PM (see schedule below). This was a fully virtual workshop.

What Was Included: Opportunities to share frustrations and common problems; short presentations of success stories from around the network; a working lunch with colleagues in similar institutions to yours; dedicated panels on increasing enrollment in language and in area studies; a session on advocacy strategies; and a wrap-up conversation aimed at identifying follow-up needs and ways REEESNe can provide support in the future.

What Participants Did to Help: Faculty and administrators at REEESNe member institutions with experience in the above topics put together panels and discussions and were delighted to have others join in the presentations and discussions. These were not formal papers or weighty interventions—our goal was to share experiences, provide ideas, and structure useful conversations.
