Small Grants for Administrators and Faculty

REEESNe announces its Spring 2024 Administrator/Faculty Professional Development Conference Grant competition, which affords staff, as well as instructors in leadership positions, in the northeastern United States the opportunity to travel to a conference to participate in a panel or other formal event by presenting on or otherwise discussing program development (presumably this would be at ASEEES in the fall cycle, or, with the spring application cycle, NESEEES or AATSEEL - in all instances, REEESNe favors attendance at conferences where proximity and vehicular means of travel minimize carbon emissions)Applicants must be current employees at one of our member institutions at the time of application in order to qualify for this opportunity. The priority deadline for submission of administrator/faculty applications is 11:59 PM Eastern on December 10th, 2023, although we expect to be able to review and grant awards to some proposals submitted by our secondary deadline of 11:59 PM Eastern on January 15th, 2024; the required letter of recommendation from a faculty or staff supervisor at the applicant’s current academic institution is also due at that time, and should ideally speak to the potential institutional benefits of the applicant undertaking the proposed professional activities and development at the conference in question.

You may fill out and submit your application here. Non-Yale applicants will need to create login credentials first. Once you have logged in, you may need to search for “REEESNe” in the grants portal in order to locate and apply for this opportunity (be sure to search for the administrator/faculty grant and not the REEESNe student grant; however, do not worry if you see references to “Yale Student Grants and Fellowships” within the application page, as this is merely the name of the portal that hosts our applications, and through which even non-students and non-Yale community members may submit proposals). Applications are due by the end of day on December 10th (or January 15th), though the application portal will remain open through the morning of the 11th (or 16th) to allow for troubleshooting with staff during work hours, if needed.
